Kwakers

This BP Tanker may be what you have been looking for :D

I have another playworn model with the silver grill but it has the usual thick cab wall

Happy collecting :) :)

OOPS! I suddenly realize you are not Sierra and you DO HAVE A PRIMARY LESNEY COLLECTING interest Sebastian......Oh Shute.......
The good part is that I do have lots of Lesney RW boxed store stock, the bad part is that this rare Tanker IS part of your own collection so probably is not for sale or trade...... I got so excited when I saw your Post of this Tanker in answer to my description of the "Thin Cab" I now feel pretty stupid and embarrassed now. BUT, if you ever find another in your travels, Please get the info on it for me because they can't be seen in E Bay photos at all. Because Nick never showed any pictures of that thin cab in his Guide, most casual collectors or even Dealers today don't even know of their existence. I am VERY glad you have shown me yours today, It proves they can be found eventually..... :D :o  Dick

I picked up this rough example t'other day ... no BP decal on tank rear but fitted to cab roof instead. Bought in a job lot to strip and repaint but will now keep it as it is ... a Friday afternoon model.

My understanding is that non-standard decal and label applications such as this were made by the women in order to break the monotony of the work.

Hi Guys

Here are the requested detail shots, I have not counted the treads and I do not know enough to differentiate a thin from a thick cab rear wall on the tanker, but over to you guys to interpret what I picked up.

I'm not familiar with doing such detailed shots so apologies for the lack of clarity, hope this allows you to see what you need.

Cheers

Dave

Thanks Dave nice picture. I have reduced the size slightly and added a tiny amount of enhancement to show the treads better for easier counting.

Thanks for those detail shots! Both of your Jeep Gladiators have the 11x45 wheels. If the one with the white interior has metal door springs, it is a variation I'd like to have. The larger wheels should give it a better stance, and I'd hope the metal door springs are sturdier (my Jeep Gladiator has plastic door springs, and the doors can get a little floppy).

I like how the detail shots show "J-200" clearly legible on the front fenders. (J-200 was Jeep's designation for a short-bed pickup.) May I ask what sort of camera you used to capture that detail so well?
