Lack of computer savvy is not a big deal. Many members can help with computing questions; younger relatives are great for such help, too. As far as resizing images goes, that isn't too hard, and can possibly even be changed in the camera settings. I always set images I post on the forum so the larger dimension is 800 pixels, which I find makes for good viewing without being horribly large.

G'day Dave,
I noticed you were online and just checked my topic listed and noticed I had not gone to page 2.
I am enjoying it so much as I have a lot of time in retirement.
I am in Queensland citrus growing country about 5 hours west of Brisbane.
Thanks so much for your reply as it does make you feel so welcome.
Were you born in NZ.?
I was from UK back in 1974 emigrated with my wife and new born.
Showing my age.
Cheers Al.

G'day Squid,
I have learnt to reduce the size of my pictures before I add to the post. :x
As for young relatives helping with my lack of computer savvy I am sorry to say they are all trapped in Sydney while I Live in the citrus region of Queensland out in the country fresh air in retirement. :D
My problem at the moment is trying to put an avatar on my profile. :(
I have a pic on my computer but cannot reduce in pixels. :?:
Cheers

Hey Al

No, not a native NZ'er I was born in Chelmsford, (well actually Great Baddow) Essex and we emigrated here in 1979 when I as 11.....so we have a similar life path. Been back a few times but much prefer life down under. Been to all the Aussie major cities and to be honest prefer the "smallness" of NZ compared to the size and speed of Oz.

Cheers

G'day Dave.
I totally agree with you about the City life, lived in Sydney for 36 years and could not leave quick enough after the kids grew up and got there own lives (they are still trapped in the rat race).
The only problem is now I am getting on I do not travel much and I miss all my kids and grandkids, If they were closer they could help me with my computer skills, or lack of. ;)
How do I only post your last reply instead of the lot.
Cheers

Hi Al- much the same story as you - from UK in 88 to western Sydney, Penrith. and now maybe moving down the coast to Merimbula way to be with the grand kids as Penrith is a rat race now, not the slow place it used to be. Love to see more of the collection and I'm mainly a YY boy but dabble in all the rset of the ranges.
