I was wondering if it's a reverse insert as well.

Thank's that is fine. It would have been nice to find this model with the central plate upside down. This is the little plate that shows...1909 THOMAS FLYABOUT. During development they did not design into this a keyway so this part could be placed in the tooling the rightway (your model), or the wrong way making it appear upside down when you read the rest of the text on the underside, still, it is a nice clean model you have and if you molest this one, heaven knows what you could convert it into!

Nah, that one is way too good for molestation.
Besides, daughter #2 decided to own it now.

I am hoping daughter #2 is above the age of putting toys in Her mouth, those plastic seats could cause some damage if stuck in Her throat.

Sadly she has long since outgrown that phase.
She has reached the age where she uses her attributes to coquet with toy fair stall holders so they knock their prices down for her.

A few projects there I reckon...

Cut n Shut the Rolls with the snowtrack.
A Push me, Pull me Tractor.
The combine Harvester can tow the bike trailer...with the chopper bike!
and Cut n Shut the Caravan with the Jeep into an articulated combo.
