suspicious red Mustang
Re: suspicious red Mustang
Very interesting. Nice to see some are doing the right thing.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."
Re: suspicious red Mustang
Nothing at all obvious at first glance, but the red paint does look a bit thick, the hubs very shiny, there are a couple of scratches on the baseplate (on an otherwise apparently mint model), and just possibly too much paint around the rim of the rivet. I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand but, if I were buying it, I would want to inspect it very closely before parting with any money.zBret wrote:this one looks suspect as well ???

Why do you doubt it?
Re: suspicious red Mustang
To me looked like there was too much paint in the center of the rivet and the paint appeared to be thick, especially above the front bumper area, where it is usually thinner. Also it appeared that the vent/quarter window was the long style, rather than correct short style.

I'm not so sure about that. None of the photos are great and it's difficult to get a good look at that area on the model.zBret wrote:Also it appeared that the vent/quarter window was the long style, rather than correct short style.

Thats true Joe, you do have a point there. Hopefully anyone considering this one will ask for some good high-res photos, especially at that price.Tinman wrote:I'm not so sure about that. None of the photos are great and it's difficult to get a good look at that area on the model.
