This thread seems like it would fit well under "Tinman's Restoration Handbook".
Would people be open to moving it there so it can be easily found in the future?

Hi Tinman haven't done much on the base plates , owing to having a bad chest infection for a couple of weeks & having four bottom teeth out in hospital last Friday not felt like doing anything Pete.

Hi Sven, haven't had much luck with the base plates, i have used jiff & tooth paste makes a bit of difference always worried about rubbing the paint off the model, i think went they are really tarnished it seems to bite into the metal. Pete.
