Kevin, i wish you the strength of your father! His desicion is one of the hardest, a human being can do and i hope, you are strong enough to go the last steps of his life with him.

Same thoughts as the other posters from me Kevin. Sadly its sometimes its better to let go than suffer. My dad was the same and he was riddled with cancer so when he passed it was a blessing as no more suffering and pain.
