Hello all,
It's been a pretty horrible couple of days for sure. We're all good and safe here in the Western Hills of Wellington City though, no obvious damage around the place and only one toy off the shelf during the big event. I made it in to work today, where we were all blissfully unaware until a couple of hours ago of the building down the street now in danger of imminent collapse. We park our car right next to that building some days (including just last week). Quite glad that it is tucked up safely in the garage at home here. We'll be relying on public transport a bit in the next few days I think...
At least it's stopped raining - parts of town had 6 months worth of rain in a day today, and we'd just had a very damp weekend so everything sodden. And shaken. As they say, it never rains but it pours...
Cheers,
Gavin
