Yep,that is a dodgy wheel but by Friday afternoon with the weekend coming up and a trip down to the pub with friends a couple of hours away one is past caring whether a wheel is round square or triangular shaped.Maureen apologises if any of you have the holes on your Matchbox toys below standard but she has told me she never thought that forty years in the future anyone would be interested in her brief career watching the wheels go by.I asked her if she came away with any trophies in her pockets-like wheels.Never ,she said.What use would a pocketful of dud wheels be! She thinks her sister may have worked at the factory a bit longer so will ask her when she calls her.

That would be great with some more memories from the factory. Do please convey our thank's to those lovely ladies for bringing forward such stories, we just love this sort of thing!

1974 that's about the same time my late uncle and aunt worked there , they used to get the factory bus from Hadliegh and bring home the odd reject ......wish I had them now
