Greetings all! We are back from our travels to Scotland.

Scotland was great! Long, sunny days. Friendly people. Glasgow is an interesting town with lots to explore. Oban is an interesting and active port with lots of ships coming and going. And the Isle of Raasay (just off the coast of the better known Isle of Skye) was wonderful: lots of beaches and sheep and high hills.
Oh, did I mention that there are many local Scotches to sample?

We missed the NEC and Falkirk event but I made it to two boot sales at Glasgows Blochairn market. Very few Regular Wheels but some Yesteryears and some SuperFasts. I picked up a few SuperFast which were all new variations for my collection. I will post pictures of my new additions on 'Look What I Found' as soon as I resize the files.

Thank you for your recommendations. Two weeks were too short. We will be visiting Scotland again!

Lesson learned: when the car rental agency offers you the free upgrade to a larger vehicle, politely decline and stick with the smaller vehicle! The roads around Loch Lowman may be picturesque but they are narrow and twisted and there is no shoulder! And that bus coming toward you around the turn may be half in your lane but they are bigger so you'd better give way! (I have no idea what Loch Loman looks like because my eyes were glued to the white stripes on each side of the road!). And on Raasay, all roads may be intended for two way traffic but there is only one lane for both directions to share! Mustn't forget to mention the sheep who are also sharing the road!
But the driving all went well, thanks my faithful travel companion, navigator and spouse who never lost her cool, even at the round abouts and oncoming buses!
