What if the seller has seen the postings here and decided that it could be worth more than you won it for
If they don't honour the sale NAME AND SHAME
Very unlikely in my opinion, the seller is 80 and Moving into a retirement home after 50 years in the same house, it all just got too much for him and he didn't complete this and a few other trades.......he had low buy nows on all his items just to get rid of them.
Poor chap, must be very difficult for him, are you too far away to make it worthwhile collecting them by any chance?

Too far unfortunately, he is in Christchurch....1,000 km away in the middle of the South Island and I'm in Auckland at the top of the North Island.

He may send them when he has sorted out his new circumstances.....but he will have more important things front of mind.

Do we not have someone on here from Christchurch that can pop round and pick them up? You must have had sharp eyes to pick out those Fun Ho! toys in that mess  - presumably from TM?

Hi Ian

I wouldn't impose, on either the seller or a board member. Timing is uncertain due to the circumstances below.

The seller had inadvertently packed this and other lots in his items to move so couldn't tell me where they were or when he would find them. Moving house at any time is stressful and hard work. But at 80, I can't imagine it. If they do turn up all good....but I won't count on it. A little disappointing...but in the great scheme of things not a worry. Yes it was TM. There seems to be many lots from retirees making their way on to the market at the moment as they down size their living arrangements. I picked another 80 odd item lot up on the weekend, a few Dinky toys and lots of Lledo, YY's etc. Dinky photo's will be uploaded tonight to my Dinky acquisition thread. My son is developing a liking for the items that don't fit my collection and starting one of his own.

Cheers

Keep me in the loop as I'll be in Christchurch attending my model club's AGM on the weekend of the 21/22 May... if I can help pick up I will...

Will do Ian. thank you!!

I have family in Wellington, so if it works out I can get someone to collect from you.

I'm not going to pressure the seller though and will just wait for him to get back to me, so the timing may or may not work.

Much appreciated!

Cheers

Bizarrely, this lot I won nearly two years ago but didn’t receive was relisted again this morning with a low buy now and I snapped it up again. The older gent selling them moved just after listing way back then and has just moved again which is how he unearthed them. So all of 22 months later I should be able to post some close ups......

The odds of me being online this morning when these were listed are pretty long, obviously meant to be mine.

Great karma on your part!
As you say, it was meant for you to buy this lot.
Congratulations! I’m looking forward to seeing photos of what you’ve gotten.
Enjoy!
Happy hunting!
