Ilario date back to 1985 and were actually called 'HILARIO', the 'H' taken from a friend's name...Hoogstad Cornelis, adding the 'H' to his own name, (H)Ilario Chiera.
Mr Ilario Chiera had a colourful modelling career building models for retailers but always wanted his own dedicated range of high class model cars and developed the 'CARBONE' brand in 1996. His first range were 1/87th scale under the 'CARBONE87' name. He then developed the 'ILARIO' brand by dropping the 'H' and created a range of 1/43rd scale Ferarri models.
His Rolls-Royce models need no introduction, just superb.
