Another Rio model, #69
Barney Oldfield's 1902 Ford "999" Racer. Top Speed was 147 Km
Usual Rio quality, the flywheel / drive shaft works and turns the rear wheels.
Like the dangerous location of the flywheel and drivers feet !

A Heavily "used" Solido Mercedes Benz 220 SE this week, released in 1963 to 1968, reference # 126.
This particular model looks to have been used once to often in a bank job getaway !
The rear suspension is collapsed and the windshield has a bullet hole right in the
middle ! Perhaps it's been driven just a little too much like this photo ! :D

I like the Merc :) The picture reminds me of the opening video from a cop show, would it be The Streets of San Francisco or maybe Kojak? I can't remember.

First it reminded me of "Bullit", but then i saw, that the photo indeed was from this movie.

You can see the Mustang in the background behind the Mercedes.

Ah well, if the Merc was being chased by the Mustang, no wonder it's having a hard time...!

It is so fascinating to see how companies representations of the same car can be so different.
