Thanks for your thoughts on this one Christian. I agree the hub is likely to have been caused by poor finishing in the factory. When u look through a loupe there are small depression where there are dots appearing but it does not have the definition of a true dot dash hub. I will therefore feel better describing it as an oddity.

The smoked glazing is however very unusual.

Examples of SF models that have tinted or smoke glass are late 70's/1980 issue models, such as 1c Dodge Challenger and 55d Cortina, so on that basis I would go along with assumption that this is also a late issue piece. It would be interesting to compare the body shade alongside an early yellow version to see any differences, my guess is if there are any differences then it would be lighter than the earlier version.

Rob thanks for the detailed information. Unfortunately 99% of my collection is in storage so i can't do any comparison shots at the moment.
