some more pictures
the base shots are of the unspun s/f with opening doors just to show pre worked rivets, they seem small compared to the base holes

Hi Reg,could u please add clear close-up macro pics of the encircled area and also an angled/side view of both rivets for accurate determinations. The non-flattened,raised quarter seems to have full paint.
Thanks,

It appears to be missing its outer edge Numi (where the point of the arrow lands), maybe that's why it looks like to paint covers right up to the outer edge... you are only seeing part of the remaining rivet?, just a thought.numi wrote:Hi Reg,could u please add clear close-up macro pics of the encircled area and also an angled/side view of both rivets for accurate determinations. The non-flattened,raised quarter seems to have full paint.

Great photos, so rivits on very light silvery blue do appear to have been spun first! And inside roof shadow appears to show a bare metal spun roof rivit
Re: silver rw #46
I see what you mean, Alex: the outside edge of the rivet does not come anywhere near to forming a circle.
Re: silver rw #46
Well thats what my eyes are seeing Hugh. It looks like there is a clean break line on the left side of the rivet where part of the rivet edge has broken off.IMHOIdris wrote:I see what you mean, Alex: the outside edge of the rivet does not come anywhere near to forming a circle.

Re: silver rw #46
Looking at the rear rivet chisel cuts, if one chisel was used, the cuts would be in line across the face of the rivet and they are not and I have highlighted this on the detail images below.
You can see they do not line up, so all the cuts have been made individually possibly with a sharpened screwdriver. The front rivet displays the same out of line cuts.

Thanks Reg for the additional images. It would appear that the entire rivet is there!
The left most edge has not been depressed to the same extent as the other chissiled parts of the rivet. These latest images clearly demonstrates that these rivets have never been spun IMHO.

Certainly does not look like any rivet work I have ever seen on any other propro. I'm thinking tampered with and repainted model.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."
