I also posted this last night after the auction so delete if required. I did ok on the MOY lots but was outbid almost everytime by others from Moyboyz - just wish a lot of them hadn't seen it like here ! LOL
Anybody here live near Rayliegh Essex - I now find they only use other shippers and want over a 100 quid to ship 3 models to Oz ! You can do by Royal mail for a quarter of this.

Seems a nice lot Dave with the tractors and reckon the seller must have worked in R&D to accumulate this lot - does anybody know Peter Smith from Lesney days ?

Here is the link to all the photos in auction - if you roll over photo you get a description of the lot

Glad you did ok,did notice that the yy started higher than the estimate most times :D ,if i remember right a wooden tray of cars fetched the highest at £1250,had a low estimate, photos weren,t that good, you,re got to wonder what was in it and like you i would love some history of the owner, maybe a relative of lesley smith?,

Not sure on that lot as not up on Superfast. I saw the Jag with 5 decal and bulldozer in funny shade of greeny yellow and that was about it. There must have been something in it as it was the highest price of the night !

Given the price, I wonder if that might have been an RW Eccles Caravan.....

Strange that such an important collection ended up with a comparatively unknown provincial auction house. Some good prices, but plenty of bargains too. (Anyone else spot the pre-production 74b Daimler Bus with the extra window behind the driver?)
I wonder how much more they would have fetched at Vectis who have both the reputation and the publicity machine?
