Mine also has a smooth roof with no pips or ejector rings and a small triangular brace on the rear rivet post (Code 1). Macdonald

Thanks for checking guys. I have a NMint smooth roof with angle braces as well. My used spare I bought from Phillip Bowdidge many, many years ago is packed away somewhere, so that one can't be checked right now..... :( How I wish I had stepped up the bid on my friend's model, but I was very sure that others will eventually be found and noted once we all start flipping these rare green Hillmans upside down. The old adage "When you see it.....buy it! now comes to mind. Even when I later discussed this one with Antonin (Diecast), I was crushed and shocked. He missed our friend's listing of that one being sold even though he buys from him regularly, and he had never seen nor heard of that braceless rear rivet post at all. Another 'Prized catch' that got away in the Lesney fishing world........LOL kwakers

I have the variation with smooth roof and brace also. At that time, when it was on Ebay, I had a lot of work and unfortunately I missed this option. (Even when my friend Dick pointed out me). Then I regretted it  . This of variation is certainly very rare, and it would be difficult to see again somewhere.

Five pips and two ejector rings. I have two green models like that.

All three with angle braces.

Some great pictures there Thomas, I know how difficult it is to capture these areas of our models.

Thanks Thomas for nice and brilliant photos. Perhaps your model is the explanation for the mistake with 5/6 pips. Stannard, by counting the pips, had a similar model and the sixth pip was overlooked. Than this mistake was just copied.

For the pics I use my old Sony cybershot with 7Megapixels. She´s retired a long time, but still very good for close ups like this. :D :D :D

By the way: What is the sense of these pips??
A kind of "overflow space" for the metal??
Anybody know that :?: :?:
