I sell on EBay also, Joe, And I charge a reasonable shipping fee to cover expenses. So I don't mind a reasonable shipping fee if I need the item and the seller has a good track record. No one can sell for very long at a loss. Be sure to leave us a link when you get to that point. There are several I can use.

Hi JP I do the same as Hugh also, lowest combined price then feedback. Make sure you add a link once you get sorted out, maybe sell on here as well to save fees. J

Feedback is very important,and I find ´´private listings´´ are red flags for shill bidding when combined with low start prices. I always consider shipping cost as part of the final cost of item,I only consider total cost to me in my hand,not care about the split between item price and shipping. Free postage is normal for sellers who didnt want to be rated for speed and cost of shipping

I hadn't considered the advantates of free shipping from a sellers point of view, but I will take that into consideration.

as far and accessories...i used to buy them...like what JP is selling...now i wont even consider them as i rather have the model missing easy to source parts than buy them right now

...but if your were in the market, what would be the most attractive option for you?

From some other's comments, I gather a low buy it now price gets me on the radar of their search and then shipping cost is sorted out later.

i would look at all who are selling...lowest over all would get my business

a big factor is who is selling...i would give you my business of course...even if you were a bit higher priced...but if i didnt know you as i said...lowest over all cost would get my biz

Shipping to the USA only.
It seems common on 90% of the Matchbox I wanted.
Do those sellers think it is one big Zoo outside the USA ?

100% agree. I live in Canada so it is sometimes easier to arrange something with the seller, but some strange people seem to consider that selling outside the US is dangerous. They lose money because of that. Many serious collectors are forbidden to buy from those sellers.

Seeing ridiculous S&H fees is also driving me crazy.

In the past, the last decade, selling outside the USA involved a mandatory trip to the post office to post the package. It also required one to stock up on customs forms and have them filled out ahead of time. You had to purchase a scale so you could weigh the item and box (or god forbid, jiffy pack) in order to use the USPS web site and derive a postage cost to place in your listing.

This was too much for some lazy sellers so they just refused to sell outside the country (like many Germans seem to prefer to do). However, anyone selling on a regular basis, really had no excuse. You need to buy a scale even for domestic shipments. Customs forms could be taken home by the dozens and two trips a week to the post office would do the job.

But, that was last decade. Today, there is no excuse. The seller need never leave their home. All one has to do is weigh the package, enter the weight into ebay's postage system and print out an all in one address label, customs form, postage with tracking and even insure the package if you so desire. The mailman will pick up your package straight from your door.

It's as simple as mailing the box to the next town. There are still some countries where shipping is dodgy, but those places can easily be excluded from your list of countries to which one will ship.

I too search lowest price with postage, and make my choice on the best feedback. Sometimes I will search the Buy It Now's with the lowest prices and go with the better feedback.

Yes Marcel , it is true, but most of the german and UK seller do the same.

Thanks god, my brother works/lives in the UK and he recives my "shipping UK only" packs.
