Re: Y-16 Mercedes
I have one similar to the Green example shown by Mathias, but it is the reverse of his...
The example shown here comes from the 1976-77 period when the wheel rims were being changed from Mk1, to Mk2 and the 'Y-16' number on the top of the box was changed from a dark Gold, to White.
I have Two more unusual Y-16 models, pictures here soon.

Re: Y-16 Mercedes
Got all Three Y-16 Mercedes 'SS' models together now...
This picture shows the unusual Gold-Green colouring on the Third model.
Three different metallic Green models here.
As always the underside of the model shows the shades easier as there tends to be less top-coat lacquering.
This model is a good example of models existing in many permutations. You could put a Dozen of these in a box and whatever Three models you pick out, they are very likely going to be different...!
I had this model from 1972 when it was first introduced into the range, in Silver-Grey over dark Red and I was most upset when I found it was damaged around the rear axle housing, so I got my Dad to take it back to the shop and change it...!
Today it would have been collectible as an OOPS! model!
This is a favourite model and while I don't intend collecting every conceivable variation or colour, I don't mind collecting the odd couple as shown here.

On Moyboy website it is mentioned, that there was a release with an open (folded) roof. I got one with red body and silver base and it seems, that this is the only version to be found? Can someome say, in which colors it came?
