Very nice line up Jason, I am enclosing a shorter line up with the "basic" shades.

Could I ask the question now that Antonin has not shown one like this from his collection? Does your model have the earlier base without tow guide on it Idris? How about yours Henk? They seem like an early light trial color if they do not have the guide.
If they have tow guides, perhaps a short run of light blue with light blue sliding roof Studebaker Wagons has gone undocumented all these years?? I need to add this one to my old Want List either way, so any other details would be appreciated on them, such as whether the B appears under the sliding roof or not on either or both of these very interesting models? kwakers

Hi Dick
there were only a few from my collection. Some are without towguide some are with towguide. I show you the photos with my variations (top view and then botton view)

There are some unlisted variation, I think I have mentioned yet. There are two variations of the window.

No tow guide, no B on the underside of the sliding roof, first-type window insert (i.e. squared off at the front, short at the back - see Antonin's post above for details).

My suspicion is that my model is one of a handful of late pre-productions in a non-standard lighter blue (early pre-productions were in red) which were shipped (probably) to The Netherlands as part of the initial release (something we have seen many times before with many different models). Unfortunately, in spite of repeated Ebay searches, I have so far failed to find a second example to support this theory and the lack of casting variations makes it as-good-as impossible to work out where in the timeline my pale blue Studebaker fits

Perhaps Henk's example is the second example like yours that seems to be as you describe, a pre-production seeming to have all the early features on it.
I was not aware that any red Studes have ever been seen or found, other than just on the box art. Have any red Studes ever changed hands or are known to survive now? kwakers

(i.e. squared off at the front, short at the back), this will be on the later type. Earlier type model in all over darker blue has sloped roof at the front and long at the back window plastics. I think there was a very short run in light blue all over, somewhere in the crossover on the window plastics.J
