Not true. As
the Wiki article clearly states "he Marina......used a floor plan and running gear deliberately similar to the Minor to streamline production changeover and minimize the financial outlay associated with chassis development and retooling".

Not true. The only common parts between Minor and Marina are the front lever arm shocks. The Marina is a significantly bigger faster car that is not curvy

Arrrrgggg! the're ganging up on me...
OK Guys, I stand corrected and while 'Wiki' sites can be useful, never treat them as Gospel. "A floorpan and running gear similar too" is certainly not "the same as" so the Marina owner I know locally is under the same impression as I was and he should have known, as he does the mechanical work on his car himself. I won't tell him that we were both wrong in this, no point falling out with him over something like this, I'll just wait until the subject crops-up in conversation again and mention it then, thank's Guys.

It is true to say both Marina + Minor floorpans were made of steel!
Minors used early versions of the A series engine upto 1098cc and circa 50% of Marinas were built with the later 1275cc development of the A series -the rest had B series or O series engines. But the only interchangeable parts were the front lever arm shocks!
