Hello Greg,
If you are looking for a name with Scottish, English and USA connection.
Albion may be suitable.
Scottish built, later American owned, has Lesney connection, it covers it all.

And when speaking to the pup:
Albion for formal introductions
Albi for short
Albion Chieftain Davis 51a for when the puppy has dug first prize plant out of garden

Fat Bastard? Maybe I've seen too many Austin Powers movies.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

No Tinman, after a winter of slothful indulgence, more likely me than the puppy who qualifies for that moniker!

Very creative! I like this one! What are the proper phonetics? Al-bee-un? All-bee-un?
Wikipedia says 'Albion' is the earliest known word for the island of Great Britain and apparently the etymology traces back to a root meaning of "white". Seen today in words like "albino". Perhaps they think, the white cliffs of Dover. Perhaps a better name for a West Highland Terrier ......or......... maybe a Scottish Terrier with a wheaten coat! Yes, that would work!
