I looked at one of these at Birmingham on Stephen K's table and thought...I want that model, Stephen wants Money...Hmm, That is all I'm saying at this time... :D

Very hard to find transitional model Ghosty that was only produced for a few months in 1970 before being replaced in the range by 22b Freeman Intercity also issued in 1970. To find a mint or mint boxed example is very hard and they always command a high price as they are sought after.

You wonder why they replaced it so quick with the Freeman. I cant imagine the Ponty was a poor seller, surely not?

I think it was to do with the era, the Pontiac portrayed the 1960s and at that time Lesney wanted to have models that fitted in with the new decade, purely a decision based on how things were at that time. Mod Rod and others followed with the same wacky theme.

Mine is far away from mint and there is no box, but at least i got one :D

It really is a stunning model and alongside the #69c Rolls-Royce drop-top, the Two best 'Superfast' models of the period.
