Very hard to find transitional model Ghosty that was only produced for a few months in 1970 before being replaced in the range by 22b Freeman Intercity also issued in 1970. To find a mint or mint boxed example is very hard and they always command a high price as they are sought after.GHOSTHUNTER wrote:I looked at one of these at Birmingham on Stephen K's table and thought...I want that model, Stephen wants Money...Hmm, That is all I'm saying at this time...![]()
Ghosty.
You wonder why they replaced it so quick with the Freeman. I cant imagine the Ponty was a poor seller, surely not?Rob wrote:Very hard to find transitional model Ghosty that was only produced for a few months in 1970 before being replaced in the range by 22b Freeman Intercity also issued in 1970. I think it was to do with the era, the Pontiac portrayed the 1960s and at that time Lesney wanted to have models that fitted in with the new decade, purely a decision based on how things were at that time. Mod Rod and others followed with the same wacky theme.motorman wrote:You wonder why they replaced it so quick with the Freeman.
