Very hard to find transitional model Ghosty that was only produced for a few months in 1970 before being replaced in the range by 22b Freeman Intercity also issued in 1970. To find a mint or mint boxed example is very hard and they always command a high price as they are sought after.GHOSTHUNTER wrote:I looked at one of these at Birmingham on Stephen K's table and thought...I want that model, Stephen wants Money...Hmm, That is all I'm saying at this time...
Ghosty.
You wonder why they replaced it so quick with the Freeman. I cant imagine the Ponty was a poor seller, surely not?Rob wrote:Very hard to find transitional model Ghosty that was only produced for a few months in 1970 before being replaced in the range by 22b Freeman Intercity also issued in 1970. I think it was to do with the era, the Pontiac portrayed the 1960s and at that time Lesney wanted to have models that fitted in with the new decade, purely a decision based on how things were at that time. Mod Rod and others followed with the same wacky theme.motorman wrote:You wonder why they replaced it so quick with the Freeman.
