Hello Mike, nice fine wheel variation you have the variation on your model should have a type "C" engine.

My two both have the 10 x 24 tread BPW, so I was wondering if this casting was on all the "C" type engine models with the Fine tread wheels


Was it being added on the last of the 10 x 24 castings, has any one got this variation on their models please LOOK and post, one way
or the other thank you.

I have 2 with the side brace. one with all 10x24 wheels that has the type C engine, and one with 10x36 front and 10x24 back wheels that also has the type C engine.
So I think you may well be right about this modification.

Hello Mike,

Here is a brother to your 45 tread wheel 28b with tank brace and in the background is his cousin with 24 tread wheels and with a very small tank brace. See other photo close up view.

Given that the tanks are very solid on this model and there is no brace on the left side, does anyone know why a brace was needed?

Mike I am now happy to have model with 11X45 wheels. Also there is another thin brace, yellowfoden I have checked mine and also have the small brace. Not sure why this was modified.
