Yep, same here, looks genuine and it has an un-finished baseplate..."MATCHBOX" SERIES ????? and the rivets are spot-on, showing just the sort of degredation from the pressing machine.

I am happy this is a genuine 'Trial' model or 'Pre-Pre' model, very nice catch for you Pierkemimi.

Later large wheel wells and green windows from the 2-pack military variation. I hope this is the real thing. $1000+.

Hi Kurt, thanks for agreeing to buy my Mercedes. I offered you those other models because they would be easy to ship with this one. I would prefer not to offer them publically at this point. I'll probably sell them next year when I have more time to offer them properly. :)

Best,
David

I am not sure whether the orange version of the Mercedes shown by Christian is from my collection. It is a known pre-pro.

This model was manufactured some time after the superfast standard version had been withdrawn, hence the casting changes to the base. It was in fact a pre-pro for the military two pack series. Several of these identical models were produced. I am not sure which model in the miniature range was released in this colour but the identical shade of paint was used on several other pre-pro models.

I think that at the same time the silver model was produced which found its way into 5 packs. I have no idea why more of the silver version were produced.
