OK - had a couple of minutes spare this evening and took some comparative photos - in these photos the 7a-1 (NJ) brown horse is the left-most unit, ie its the rear horse and the chocolate brown is the 2nd from the right/front. In the last photo the choc brown horse is to the rear and the brown horse is to the front.... I just hope these colours show up on everyone's screen.....

If Nick still has the model, it would be good to know whether his silver-trimmed example has a type A or a type B horse and, if type A, whether it is (chestnut) brown or chocolate brown.
I believe Antonin now has Nick's silver trimmed Float, and of course mine will have to be dug out now that the horse types are all made much clearer Thanks to your Posts here. Mike Stannard had not given a lot of details on his two leg differences, besides the inside curves on the earlier ones or the webs being used later on. The rare silver trim came on later GPW Floats only, so had later Chocolate colored horses out of the factory on them. The browns can vary quite a bit on these horses as shown on just the 3 models pictured here. We have 11 different variations with about 4 shades of brown on their horses. kwakers
Yes Antonin now has my silver trimmed milk float, The horse may not be the original one as when I bought it the dealer (Albert) said it never had a horse so he fitted it with one that he already had. I may have swapped on the correct horse before I sold it but you would really have to ask Antonin.
I'm sure Tim (and others) remember Albert, A very friendly elderly gent that dealt mostly in tractors and farm machinery, He stalled at Huntingdon right in the middle of the hall on the center isle, He passed away about 4 or 5 years back, Rest in peace Albert.
