Hi Yellowfoden, after reading your notes above I have checked my oval hole with plastic pin and have noticed that the hopper brace is wider but the same length roughly as the earlier type.
Long narrow brace-2.5mm wide, Long wider brace-3.4mm wide, Shorter wide brace-3.9mm wide.
