Two things:
1. My vote is also "silver" Numi. Sorry :(

2. Johnboy, the top model in your comparison photos.... Does that model have 20 count tread on front and 24 on rear?

Good eyes Greg, it does. It's not an oops that stands out particularly in the hand and I only realized it months after I bought it.

I may have sharpened you up a little too much on that 26 Cement Truck 'Grill' Post of George's Mr. Greg......Outstanding observation on the tread count Johnboy was also trying to sneak by us here.....LOL
I even hate to say that my opinion is also the common SPW on the Chev. Numi, but I would ask for a direct base shot if I were you. I have, on only a very few occasions, seen a model pictured at these same angles with odd shades that actually appeared to have silver looking wheels on it that were surprisingly pure gray in a last picture looking directly from the base at it's treads with no shadows. It never hurts to be sure...... :geek: Glasses for colors Nick??? Too many Birthday Cocktails I would say, your eyes may still be a bit blurred........kwakers

Yes Kwakers, you've got me on my toes!
It is quite common to find these odd wheel tread count variations on models like the 27C Cadillac or the 75A Thunderbird where the front axle goes on the model at a different time than the rear axle. Having this mixed wheel type on this 57B Impala Johnboy, takes your already rare blue base/GPW model into a different realm of rarity I would think.

Thanks Guys and thanks to Jb for these comparison pics, most appreciated.
I actually bought this specimen for Kwakers as a chance buy knowing that he didnt already have a GPW with Blue base in his collection and it was mailed to him yesterday.
Under the hammer it goes then........ :(

Hello numi I see you have sent a model to Dick (kwakers) so your postal strike must be over, so have you got the 7c Grooved Toe model that I sent you a few months back yet?

Hi Mr Marshall, thanks for asking but i hadnt received any packages since 1-st Sept incl yours and im sure when the strike has finally abated then it would hopefully show up.Our postal system is still in shambles with approx 1200 tons still accumulating at the main Receiving/Distribution Centre in Johannesburg.U can read about it here: http://allafrica.com/stories/201410101413.html
Just so u know that this Chevy was sent to Kwakers directly from this Us seller. ;)

Lets hope your packages are not at the bottom of the 1200 tonne pile Numi. That could spell disaster!!! :(
