Re: Rolls-Royce Phantom V Fun-HO
The history of 'FUN HO!' is long and somewhat complicated, maybe an abridged version can be presented here at a later date, but for the purpose of the Rolls-Royce, it was originally introduced during 1967 until 1969, when it was marketed in a 'MOBIL' petrol branded box.
As we have seen from the excellent pictures above, there are many colour issues to collect and for the benefit of "Fox" yes the Silver-Grey example is genuine and one of the handful of metallic issues along with...metallic Lime Green and metallic steel Blue.
The 'Ghost Club International' stated 15-20 colours available on this model but I don't know if that included the re-issues.
Total production of the Rolls-Royce was 90,700.
The re-issues from 1996 were usually fitted with dark Blue tinted glazing (windows), and the headlamps were often painted in Silver, but production of these were not on a full-time basis, they were only produced when requested by contacting the 'Fun Ho" museum where the original manufacturing equipment is held and used for the casual production of the models.

OK, I'm writing your name on the box in ink as you read this, so I know who to send it to...

Nice box! Never seen before. Interesting that the printing on the box is a Mobil petrol pump as in the below leaflet. I suppose placing the box vertically (or cutting it out? ) can become a good diorama element...

These are not mine, and neither is the picture, but it is a fun and colorful line up of Fun Ho models:
