When I looked earlier there were only 4 members, now I see there are 10, so its working and attracting the collectors.

Not really. It's main content is for newer and current diecast. Not too much there for the vintage collector. On the other hand, it was founded by a bunch of people who were banned and blocked from the MCCH. As a result, one can learn quite a bit about the truth behind the MCCH owner and his ugly secrets. All in all a good bunch and it amazes me just how many people Curtis has banned and blocked out of his boring (and now nearly dead) little private club. I wish Brad all the best and hope he gets things sorted.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

I have often thought of this forum and Brad's forum as complimenting each other quite well. Where this puts the emphasis on the older Lesney England made stuff, Brad sort of puts the emphasis on models made after it. The modern and up to date stuff is there, plus the older forum has a lot of stuff from the Universal and Tyco eras of Matchbox being talked about too. Of course there is crossover, as at the end of the day it is all Matchbox, but they each have a strength they work with.

It is a shame that he spent all that time getting a new host set up and transfer everything across but then the whole thing fails. Typical! Doesn't that happen with a lot of things.

Thanks for keeping us informed here. I do not use facebook or other social media sites like that so did not know what is happening.

Sadly no I have no mailing list. I am wondering if I should set one up. I have had a few emails myself. I did not know it was that well used. I do my updates on Brad's forum, and then I copy just the US version of the basic range list on the Swiftys and I email John Nijhuis who puts them up on his site.

It's typical. I had a bunch of updates to do this week as well. There is a bunch of new items to add to the various lists.

I did invite Brad to share this forum and he could run the modern matchbox section but I never thought of it until after I had pointed him towards Hostgator, When I got back to him he had already signed up with Hostgator, Whatever Brad does I wish him good luck.

Since being bought out by Endurance International Group (a hosting company that is intent on buying as many smaller companies as it can), Hostgator has gone from being one of the better ones to one of the worst. Reliability is appalling now and customer support seems to be the least of their concerns. In my business - Internet marketing - people are deserting HG in their droves.

John has little time and as his site is not a forum format he is often not updated like a forum format.
Also I and may hundreds ! with me more like the total listing style you did on cobratoys and formely on mcch.
Much better overview then only a small update like john has on his website. Allthough his picture overview is better and the datacase thing.

Count me in for a mailinglist.

I am supriced that Brad has so many problems as THEY have support with the models in the summer for the gathering from Mattel and thefore should have financial supoort aswell to get this all properly hosted.
As a poster myself I don't like to spent much of my time to post on a forum which can not keep the information online.
I still hope there is a backup.
I like Nicks forum very well but the MATCHBOX world also need a place for modern Machbox and the latest from 2014 etc. The MCCH is not used that very much by many as we all know. Now Brads forum falls away we have a serious gab.

Marcel.
Brad has relocated from Australia to a fairly remote village in Scotland, He did have the forum online but it went down which was something he had no control over. I believe it is back online now but as the members were signing up with new accounts I believe the info that was on the old forum may be lost.
