They could try some BUY IT NOW sales on ebay using recent Vectis prices as a guide, sell maybe 1 blue minor per week for a year. 30a look to be the greenest shade too!

Vectis trickled dozens of mint boxed 65a Jaguars with silver number plate onto the market. I don't think anyone really noticed apart from me. It did not seem to affect the price of this model either, The fact that this lot are all mint in box and many of the boxes have never even been opened means they will be snapped up by the wealthiest collectors with the deepest pockets who only want the finest toys in their collections.

I completly agree. Those who think otherwise are welcome to start selling me their mint/boxed blue Minors at the green model's price LOL.

Here's a list of what and how many of each. The quantity of some models is amazing. 75 Thames Estate Vans, 69 Acessory Pack garages for example. I wonder if all the Jags are red (or orange/red)?

That's not going to happen. The non-profit organization (which owns all of these) is looking for an auction house or dealer to handle the entire lot. The auction house or dealer will be in the USA.

That's a little too much drama for reality. I owned four of them over the years. Every collection I've personally seen has a blue Morris Minor in it and every collector I communicate with also has at least one in their collection. There's thousands more out there I don't know about. Another 66 of them will quickly be absorbed into the collections of people who don't have one or those who want another mint/boxed model. Sometimes people act like they've forgotten that these models were made in the millions and even the hard to find ones were made in the thousands (and for some, tens of thousands). Even the Hot Weirds nut who lives four doors down from me has a blue Minor is his tiny MB collection.

Yes, but "he" is not exactly an individual. All the stock is owned by a non-profit organization who wants to sell the lot to a dealer or sell it all off through an auction house.

They're all very lovely. I'd like one 50a and one 21b. Please.

I have modest aspirations!

Seriously, much as I'd like it, I don't think any of these will be winging their way to my collection :( . Not enough cash and I'm sure they'll be snapped up long before I'll have the cash spare...

Incidentally, I have a blue Minor, and had a second which I sold recently - neither mint, but they come up reasonably often even here in NZ.

Cheers,
Gavin
