Another #57C Land Rover Fire Truck w/different rear panels.

I have just come back from the Hershey Fall AACA Antique Car Show. One of the prizes I found somewhere in the 9000 vendor spaces was my first 57 Land Rover Fire Truck without the rear panel brace! It is not mint, but it was $5 and will still display nicely with 100% decals on it. As I re-read this Post about this 'New' variation tonight, I remembered our new find has the even right handles, making it Nick's B interior. Finally, I have beat both Brad and Antonin in finding this new variation, proving all three interiors were available very early in this model's production. Now I have to find interiors A and B for our collection. I have not checked the early models and spares we have of this one, so maybe I will find another one there???? Finding this unknown casting variation in 2014 is really quite exciting to we veteran collectors, so Nick's listings (As well as my Stannards Catalog) will now be shuffled right from the beginning once more on this first casting #57C with three different interiors now.........kwakers

Congratulation Dick, for $5, it is bargain (and also interesting discovery and another stone in the mosaic of our knowledge about Lesney).

Thank You Antonin, I was very lucky at Hershey this year. I now have another mixed decal/label #57C model to dig out, my first late casting yellow Hatra with larger triangle cab braces and support, a 39B yellow Pontiac Convertible with GPW and red steering wheel, a N/Mint 47 Tipper with rear bumper, as well as an odd later 26B Cement Truck with front silver trim and small ejector ring, all bought separately from only a dozen vendors found selling Lesneys this year. To find such models from a Toy Show would be a Great Day, but at an Antique Car Show like Hershey was simply an amazing week for me with such limited later Lesney 'Common' models to look through.
I Thank this Forum and it's many collectors for continuing to find and share some of these amazing details that had been missed by us for decades until now.......kwakers
