Even with the hole in it's base, the open step ladder on the Harvester makes that model quite rare Dan. Nice work! I used to get a lot of very expensive sneakers from a buddy who wore down only the toes by playing tennis with them. I am now guilty of wearing cheap $20 sneakers in order to pay for more Toys. I agree with your Birthday present decision, Toys are much more fun! kwakers

thanks Dick...haha thats cool you got those sneakers...and i may just have to go cheap...but i have shoe goo to repair the holes on the bottom of my sneakers...so for now ill keep wearing them until they fall apart

thanks Greg! the color of the canteen base is what i thought was mid blue...but comparing them in this photo im not sure...there are 4 blues listed

light blue
dark blue
mid blue
pale blue

in my photo first is the green base
2nd is what i thought was light blue but i guess its pale blue
3rd is light blue cause it has a cream body
4th is light blue
5th is my newest and i guess this would be mid blue



what does everyone think?

It looks almost metallic (i.e 65a) blue in the photograph.

With that base attachment/round rivet it is most likely what Stannard calls Mid-blue. Although I have found no fewer than three examples of the canteen with this round rivet base and the true "dark blue". They are fairly close with the so-called mid-blue being a bit brighter.

Great lot Dan! I'm still looking for an open step combine like everyone else! The darker blue base 74a is a good score too, took me ages to find one of them.

so the mid blue and dark blue are just a slight shade variation?
