Hi Numi,

are you referring to the cleaner area on the axle?
I thought that would be where the axle rubs against the support. I have a stake struck with rusty axles that shows similar wear.

I would not only need, but expect clearer photos of the riveted axle ends on this rare wheel variation. The pictures on this listing do not show either axle end very well, but is it the rear axle end you are suggesting we look at closely Numi?? kwakers

Hi Rodger, the bad crusting of the axles on your played-with specimen together with the seized heavy metal wheels creates this clean, grated sort of impression on the webs (supports) & axles during play and which is expected and acceptable to some.
The webs on this hardly played-with SPW in question has clearly been drilled to allow the axles with untampered ends to easily push thru without detection by the unwary.
This seller is a confidence trickster & a fraud.

Hi Kwakers, its clearly apparent that all these wheel-webs had been drilled in order to get the wheels on almost perfectly without anybody noticing that this is a fake. The right side wheels show squaring as thought they were trying to close the drilled & enlarged wheel holes.
Yes,i agree that more clear pics are necessary but then again which faker do u know of that would be as transparent.
This seller had blocked me quite a while ago when i started to question the authenticity of the rare models that he was selling.I had saved a few pics from his past sales but i just cannot seem to find it but will upload if and when i do.

Excellent points and some very clear facts from you about this particular Seller Numi. It would seem your sleuthing and detective work was exposing his model's weaknesses, hence his need to block you from his auctions. There is no doubt in my mind that he was also watching our Forum as a 'lurker', so made the connection to your early Posts about his questionable 'rarities'. kwakers
