My interest now is mainly in regular wheels, so I will comment on what I see in your pictures. The 50 Commer with black plastic wheels is a good model as well as the 34B VW Van you have that looks very Mint. The other regular wheels look very common, although that 73 Ferrari with gray plastic driver and one missing side decal is also a tough model that is considered an error in my mind, but possibly just incomplete by others. I am sure there will be interest here in many of the other series models, but they are a bit out of my area of interest. There seem to be no color trials or 'specials' that I can see, but they are a very nice group of models you have shared with us here. It is interesting that such varied models came out of this same group of 'rejects'. Cheers! kwakers

Thanks very much for the comments kwakers. Later this year I'll be meeting up with the two other people I know about who were given models around that same time by the man who worked there (he was my mum's best friend's husband). One was his son who may well have been given the more quality rejects, maybe I only got the reject rejects If I can get a hold of those I will post some more photos, and I'm also going try to get a bit more detail of what his job was there and any stories he may have passed down.

Lincoln Continental is an early casting without tow guide, one that many here still look for!

But it also says "some boot lids could have a reversed image of a number cast on the inside but this is not found on the early or late issues". Mine has the number '2' reversed on the boot lid, so I'm assuming this one must be a late version of the earliest model.

Looks like the listing text needs updating now that your hrad to find example has surfaced !! There are 2 metallic blues - is this car the lighter or darker blue I wonder???? Probably some members here would be keen to have your Lincoln in their collection if you have the later shade of blue matched to an early baseplate
