Rivit in the top photo looks like one as done by our expert re-spinner mr moko being wider and lower than a standard spun rivit. Does the paint stick like oven baked paint or is it brittle like rattle can paint?

I have just compared the model to a standard, mint & boxed SF 14d. I can find no meaningful differences in either the shape or the size of the baseplate rivet. Furthermore, the paint has the finish of Lesney paint with the spray shadows (e.g. inside the doors and esp. towards the hinges) being a match for those on the production model.
This example was obtained very cheaply through a contact on the Continent (i.e. not one of Mr. Moko's offerings).
As I say, I have my doubts, but just can't put my finger on anything specific....

Nice models Jason and Mathias. Just as an aside, I have considered that color driver on the mini haha to be purple. There is another pink one, but it looks more like a lighter flesh color. Regardless, that color driver seem to be the hardest to find.

Best,
David

Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.
