This is an older picture but it shows some of the different shades. (Very pale version is bottom right and a blue/green next to that).

Looks like the lighter shade of green to me.Lighting & flash can play tricks with deciphering the correct shades of these Green/ish Ferrari's

It does look like a pale shade of green to me as well.

It's only when you photograph all the different shades of green together as you have done JB that the shade difference of the blue green model becomes very apparent.

I must admit seeing J.Bs colour comparison (unusual for you to use colour John ) it does now look light green ...damn my eyes

Thanks for all the information everyone, and sorry for the large pictures, I will have to figure out how to re-size when I post more.
So it looks like its not a blue green after all. The pictures are difficult to get an accurate color but I would have to agree its a light green after seeing all the other photos.
My search will continue...

Brian, here is another thread worth reading, about 'Editing Pictures', have a look and try some of the methods, but copy your own pictures first and play around with the copies, that way if you muck it-up, you've still got your originals, any problems give us a shout (but post any problems on the editing thread itself, cheers).

Hello Brian! Yours was the first lighter green to be released in 1965. It does look a bit blue-green, but is just considered to be a shade of light metallic green by old-time collectors. As the years passed during this Ferrari's production, the green color of it gradually became darker in shade like your resized picture right hand model. This very dark green is commonly found with the disc wheels of the later production models, but Johnboy's picture shows the many shades of green along with disc versus wire wheels and different headlight eyebrow casting variations that can be found on this Car. That blue version of Johnboys is the rare one everyone hopes to some day find. If you shop E Bay, that color can be found in listing pictures, but on inquiry to honest Sellers they admit the color is not that of the model when it is in hand. Lighting and the camera itself must play hell on the green color of this one as you have already found out. The very darkest greens were the last models we found in our local stores before the Superfasts arrived. The rare red versions were for regular wheel race sets produced after the factory body color change to the Superfast red color in late 1969. kwakers
