Now look at what I've just got...the model shown here has been in my collection for many years, but has been mislaid (along with one unusual #69 'Drop-Top' Rolls-Royce), so sadly I have not been able to add to my 'Time-Line' listing or any pictures posted so far, but now it can bee shown.
This is not the actual example from my collection, but an example purchased from Mick ("SMS88"), who showed this model in one of his pictures of something he aquired recently and very kindly offered it to me out of my comments.
Thank's Mick, it is now waiting to be added to the 'Time-Line' but I noticed it has the narrow 'Hinge-Arms' and not the last Wide design.

Thats even better news knowing its not the same hinge variation as your other pink base example! I only let it go because I have another still sealed in the blister and have enough photos of all base colour variations

helps if I adjust the screen angle I would then see it's not silver at all

Hello Reg, no, you did not miss it because it had not been put out on display. During our first Cafe conference at Sandown in the Morning, a dealer came over and said he had it and was keeping it to one side for me, so later on I went and purchased it, before it saw the light of Day.
Its who you know Reg, not what you know in this game...

I have been trying to get hold of the big 12th scale 'AIRFIX' Bentley kit for my Father after telling him one turned up at the club night I go to, but left there because I already have mine in the collection. He said was there any chance the kit would still be there the following club night and if yes, could I get it for him. Each club night has a theme for the evening and it would not be doing a mini toy fair for several Months, so was unlikely to appear again, but I could ask around the members to see if it was possible it could be brought back one night.
After several Emails to some members and the offer of a free advert in the club's Monthly newsletter, all went quiet and I started looking on Ebay to see what the kits were currently going for, especially as a slightly re-tooled version has only recently been issued onto the UK markets for around £110. I saw some going for £60-£80 in complete un-built form and that's the sort of kit I wanted, not one that had been started, but because I don't do any Ebaying myself, the chance of actually getting one from there was not on, I did however contact a forum friend who was quite happy to do this for me when I was ready to buy one (a big thank you to "Fixer" for the offer), but my laptop issues took over and became the Number One priority.
Jump forward to February this Year and I get a text message from somebody I do not know by name, but he said he'll bring the Bentley to the up-coming club night!!

This is the actual kit I will be building.
So, I am now the custodian and part-time builder of a big 'AIRFIX' Bentley 'Blower' kit. It was complete and un-started and for £80, my Father is very happy with it as he built one of these when they were first in the shops during the early 70's and he insisted he wanted to do another one, but of course he is a sufferer of Parkinson's now, so has a bit of a problem with holding tools and keeping steady, so this is why I am involved with building it, not that I mind because Plastic kit building and converting is second nature to me so I know I can do this to a high standard and add some extra fine detail.
This brings me to this posting, as "Fixer" has asked for pictures of the building progress and while I know we have a couple of members who do like the bigger non-diecast models like plastic kits, I was not intending to talk about this kit here or show pictures, but if other forum members don't mind, I will do this and add pictures of my progress with this kit.
