Hi all,
after I saw your impressive pictures of showcases, displays and so on, I decided to rename my thread into "Show us your toy room!".
Maybe some more members want to show their collection or just some of their favorite showcases.
I'am friendly asking the admins: Do you support this idea? Or is there a better place for this thread?

I don't know where to start but what a wonderful collection.
Unfortunately you seemed to have collected a number of models that are the wrong colour!! I think you should just pack them up and send them across the ditch to ME.
I've got some here that are right colour I can give you in exchange.

After seeing Mick's great collection I thought I would post photos of my room here too.
I don't collect preproduction models. I like special packaging like blisterpacks and my collection is somewhat famous for the old original store displays.
Aprox 90% of my collection is on display in old glasscabinets, some of these glasscabinets being prewar.
It is mainly Models of Yesteryear but as one of the 30 quest of the German Collectors Club said to me last june (they visited my collection in smaller groups) it is also of interest to other collectors as well.
In the 2013 summer I took photos here in my room.
I have added some more items to my collection since then.

Rare 1959 UK display (I bought this from a seller in Argentina) Note that there nbrs for 1-18 !

Rare 1958 Uk display as aquired from John Moore. (this is exactly the same one as auctioned by Vectis aug 9th 2005, it has the same small inperfections) This is not pictured in Alex his book.

Some 1967 Fred Bronner blisterpacks, a 1968 display for Yesteryears, a 1992 battery operated rotating 1992 display for Yesteryear and Matchbox Dinkies.

Smaller cabine ton the right for pre 1992 Code 2 models (top shelves) and later American Code-2 models. Lower shelves are for the 1-75 Toyfair models of recent years.

Right of the high old bakkery cabinet is a low cabinet, just under the drawing table.

Cabinet in the middle was put into the room few months ago. (came from a former hospital) I plan to put more glassshelves inside so that it can hold more giftware. Bottles above and a Deans code-4 model.










The poster on the right with the Crossley is interesting. I once got it as a gift from a Dutch collector and never saw another one. (it is bigger then the calendar size)


The red binders holds my Matchbox paper collection. Adverts, catalogues etc.


Turning futher to the left. Cabinets for code-2 models (Czech and Australian models at the left and Mica (conventionsets etc) on the right.



1973 Radiator display for Yesteryears on top (the wooden cabinet is custommade to protect it from dust)




I once got this display from a german collector. Aprox 1989. Never saw another one.

Cabinet on the left is for Early Lesney Toys like the Coronation caoch including 2 figures variation.
