Remember, the measurements you obtain will not be exact and are rounded up or down to the nearest 1/2 mm. I too think the wheels are probably worn somewhat.
There was a discussion (I think it was on the old forum) about many of these smaller wheels not being correctly cataloged (and that many guides had overlooked near size wheel differences). Some wheels that were 1/2 mm different in size seem to have been used randomly on several models. It's possible there is a 7mm wheel that's not cataloged and that most people have marked up as being 7.5 or assumed was 7.5.
I don't recall the size of the wheel from the above mentioned discussion, but several people measured their wheels and came forward with some interesting sizes that had passed for another size (until they closely measured their model's wheels).
