Hello Reg, thank's for the picture.

The Ford Group 6 model is one that's always on my mind at toy fairs, but I was not sure which green it was I was supposed to be looking for, now I know!

Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.

Thank you Wolfie, the cream Couger is perfect for the 'Holy Grail' thread, with one currently for sale somewhere on the NET for $5.800, it's nice to see just what I could be buying...

A few more "A" models.

Image
33a Blue model.

Image
43a Green model.

Image

Image
46a the one on the right is the Blue/Green colour variation, on the left is the normal Dark Green model, and the Blue one to compare.

Image

50a Red & White model, only comes with SPW.

Image
53a Metalic Red model, this one is easier to find as the same colour model but with GPW.

As said in my first post these are not all rare, but are hard to find.

Thank you George, appreciate the pictures, especially the Blue Zodiac and the red Aston Martin. I would like to keep the models here as 'RARE' or 'VERY RARE' as I know 'HTF' models (your #50a Pick Up), has probably been featured and talked about in the relevant forum section.

So please, forum members, as desirable as those 'Hard To Find' models are, they would soon clogg-up this thread if we allow too many off them in here, hope you understand, many thank's.

The only problem being is that someones rare is another persons HTF depending on what part of the world you live in. :)

First off, very big thank's to Nick, this thread/gallery is now 'Sticky', so you don't have to go searching for it, it should remain in the same place whenever you come into the Lounge.

Alex, yes I know what you mean, it's a shame the terminology we use for our models was not standardised like the 'Code 1', 'Code 2' and 'Code 3' terms and it's not likely to become so any day soon, I am trusting forum members to be sensible and realise what is definately rare, a model most of us are aware off but can not get (Reverse colour #13 Dodge Wrecker), and not just Hard To Find models (the 'Long Seat' #69 Rolls-Royce), and going on past postings, most forum members are getting those 'HTF' models they have been chasing and as I said in an earlier post, I don't really want to see them here, no offence anyone.

agreed...initially you were asking for holy grails...one persons holy grail is not anothers holy grail...a rare model may not necessarily be someones holy grail and vice versa

so a list should be made of the top rare models...and them we can post pics of them if we have them...other wise youll be getting all kinds of subjective rare models or people listing their holy grails

I agree with Dan, otherwise this thread could turn out a right mess if we are not careful. And can i also clarify if this sticky is soley for RW's If so perhaps it should be moved from the lounge to the "Lesney Matchbox regular wheels 1-75" section.

If this remains for RW's only then a similar sticky in the "Superfast" section of the forum should also be considered (come on Nick!!). I can think of several SF candidates....one of which i am waiting to drop through my letter box very soon...........hee hee hee can't wait. ;)
