I only have one 27c Mike, it is brownish like yours, with traces of lilac underneath.
Must be something with paint fade, I would think.

But the 2 different colours are very distinct,
These are fairly early pieces that would have been painted on the conveyor belt.
Could be that these were painted metallic lilac and then turned over and painted again but this time in metallic brown?..

I tried to enlarge the image. Unfortunately, without success.
Can not exactly see the colors on the base plate.
Lilac / Brown / Silver.

Which code is assign the model?
