It's very nice to see you return as you can Numi. Your wit, expertise, and of course your sleuthing have been missed by everyone here. Life changes every so often for all of us, but sometimes laughing with friends can bring an added focus on the priorities we are forced to have at any given time. Welcome Home.....
We now have 2 out of Nick (with Diecast's and Tractorboy's), so we are over ten examples with Dan's new one in just a short week of Mathias' Post on these early casting Cranes. We are a very focused group of collectors I guess, but it does show that there was a pretty good batch of these made before the boom change was done. Mike Stannard had assumed they were possibly a pre-production because they are quite rare to find in circulation. I am now VERY surprised that all our U.S. guides missed this variation in the 1970s, but they may have mainly been released in England and on the Continent early on? Bronner would have certainly had an early batch to take orders from, but no U.S. collectors noticed this one's high boom pin?? Cheers, kwakers

My 3x High-pin specimens all came from the Uk and i agree that theres a possibility that these were never exported.
Quite pricy too!!

Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.
