Nice model, Reg.. though it's a bit playworn, quite rare with the 'Rat Rod' labels.

The Wildcat Mustang and Mercury Cougar almost seem related in the Lesney scheme of things, they both have identical 'engine well' castings, share the same engine and the label from the latter appears on the former, as in your model.

I wonder how easy it is to remove the labels without damaging them, as this could lead to label 'reassignments' to turn a common model into a sought-after variant. Interesting stuff, maybe worth starting a thread on! :)

The first of the weekend wins to arrive not sure about the bike never seen one like this before but not got a green one so happy to have it, glad to get finally get an aral freeway both minty too, just got to wait for the others

Latest wins from fleebay first was a couple of mini dinkys next was a #65 jaguar with spw last arrived today #71 heavy wreck truck which was part of a job lot :D

Alex your quite right
Went to Sandown today and got some early birthday gifts for myself the best has to be the bealesons van from a box of odds and ends on a train stall (you have to love the train guy's who only reguard 1-75s as layout accessories) over the moon when he said is £3 alright, did see a couple more on a stall at £25 & £35 each in similar condition also happy to get the Bedford tipper just need to remove the over paint on the back end

Nice finds Reg, that #46b was a steal!!!

It's hard to see from the image you have posted but is there a dot between the words Beales and Bealeson on the decal.

Just trying to rule out any repro decals Reg in case your wondering.

And yes i agree these Train guys are a hoot. That's were my Tow guide Muira came from!!!!! CHOO CHOO!!!!

yes she does have a beauty spot but I will have it with me if I make it to huntingdon next week incase I bump into Nick or Tim to get it checked but it looks good to my old man eyes

Decals are original Reg - dot, sun ray lining up with the centre of the text and correct decal shape as far as I can make out - a great buy at 3quid.
