He also uses another seller to put his models on ebay, but have not seen this seller on there for awhile.

WHY THE CRAP IMAGES?
Re: WHY THE CRAP IMAGES?
Numi, I just purchased a KS Allis-Chalmers 261529655743, since this is not all that rare of a model what should I look for in tampering? I am all ready suspecting replacement decals as they look too good to be true. I thought it was a little to good when my best offer was accepted right away. I became very suspect when Paypal told me who the money was going to. Like I said before, I hope I didn't get taken too bad.

Re: WHY THE CRAP IMAGES?
Hi hydra427 (dont know your name as yet, sorry),this Allis Charmers looks good in the pics and the decals look good as well.Im unable to tell the difference in texture for sure unless i have it in my hands. Most of his plain models are authentic but be weary of others with rare labels, decals, wheel swops and paint touch-ups cos TuT (Touch-up-Tim Arthurs) is a sly confidence trickster.hydra427 wrote:Numi, I just purchased a KS Allis-Chalmers 261529655743, since this is not all that rare of a model what should I look for in tampering? His most famous fakes are the #39 Ford tractor with ALL YELLOW WHEEL HUBS, #39 Ford tractor with SOLID GRAY FRONT WHEELS and YELLOW REAR WHEEL HUBS and GRAY TIRES and the #18 Field Car with ALL GREEN HUBS.He had sold plenty of these over the past 3-4yrs with illicit gains from unsuspecting buyers. He is a low-life thief and a fraudster and i can only imagine his accumulated Bad Karma. Not so long ago he was charged for fraud by a forum member for selling a number of fakes.
Hope this helps,

Re: WHY THE CRAP IMAGES?
Yes ure right Mr Marshall. The other guy is also his (TuT's) shill-bidder and reads all pertinent threads & posts on our forum. In fact he recognised who i was when i had a one-on-one with him via Ebay regarding the fake Ford tractors.kerbside wrote:He also uses another seller to put his models on ebay, but have not seen this seller on there for awhile.

Re: WHY THE CRAP IMAGES?
Touch in or touch up to the paint would be my biggest fear on the model in question.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."
Re: WHY THE CRAP IMAGES?
Tinman, you were correct. The front of the Allis has been "filled in", a good match but the paint just doesn't feel right. Not near as smooth as an original Lesney. I will keep it for now as a filler piece but will have to upgrade at some point.Tinman wrote:Touch in or touch up to the paint would be my biggest fear on the model in question.

Touch-up-Tim strikes again! At least it shows well and you are aware of the issue. I trust negative feedback was sent.

Re: WHY THE CRAP IMAGES?
Absolutely! and as usual the regular wheels get listed in the wrong categories: superfast, accessories/catalogues etc.fixer wrote:buyer beware knowing his history and the thread on the green two line #46 just saying like
