The factory workers simply did not distinguish those two wheel types. During the time those 5 slot wheels were current (about 1974-76), they could be applied together with 5 square wheels in any combination.

Recently I wanted to take a ride on a Streak Track, so I entered my Lambo and tried to go down, but.....someone has stolen my steering wheel

Thanks Christian this clears up a question i had on another thread (Superfast casting show #5) regarding an SF#5 Lotus JPS with a combination of 5 slot and 5 square wheels.
