Harrod's Bread Preproduction Tampo.
Harrod's Bread Preproduction Tampo.
Just received this from a fellow "old school" collector. Tampo trial for the bread van.
Production model on the right.Bob
Re: Harrod's Bread Preproduction Tampo.
That's a super model Bob, I should have been quicker off the mark but a lot of my money is now sitting in the account of a Northern auction house.
Those wheels wouldn't look out of place on the green Joseph Lucas model.

Re: Harrod's Bread Preproduction Tampo.
I have same model Bob. All tampo on front and back as well on mine but roof is completely dull and underneath a grainy feel to it. Sets are light beige and green box on side is slightly different shade. The tampo has been done wrong on sides as number is the wrong end. Still cannot add a pic to the post
Re: Harrod's Bread Preproduction Tampo.
still trying
Re: Harrod's Bread Preproduction Tampo.
Presumably the number on the canopy is the other way round because the canopy was reversed in the tampo printing process.
Re: Harrod's Bread Preproduction Tampo.
if the canopy was reversed then it would mean 2 different carriers for the roof - one way with canopy at rear, tampo would line up with side window but if you reversed it with the roof overhang you would tampo over the side window even if you only allowed for the 2 sides without the cab roof !!! I'll leave it up to you to work it out.
I think the tampo pads were changed or realigned somehow as I'm not sure how their machine worked. Notice the lighter green wheels as well

Re: Harrod's Bread Preproduction Tampo.
Pads swapped sides in machine, either incorrectly refitted after cleaning, or swapped deliberately to see which way looked best. Clearly neither, as the pads were revised for production.
