Thanks, Squid. They are both nice. The back one is the scarce first issue in red, with the decal on the real part of the tipper. The front one is a prepro in orange - the same colour as the box illustration, and as far as I can tell, never seen before. I'll put some more details in the Kingsize section.

It will be inetersting to read what bases these have (with or without the renumbering platformboss).

The red one has the second base; the prepro has the first. More here

Not in the best condition (!) but the genuine article - I think it was worth the princely sum of £8.50!

It joins my fleet of scruffy but harder-to-find pantechnicons, including the first casting, the second casting with spw, and of course the Beales Bealeson version.

Great models, I love this casting no matter what the condition. Especially the Beales as it was one of my first hard to find models in the collection.

Thanks, Jason - I really like this one too! And, of course, the benefit of models in very used condition like these is that they’re definitely original, unlike lots of Beales and two-line Pickfords on the internet!

Nice Glenn. This is one of my favourite too.
About the condition. These cars made for toys. A mint model is very nice, but a used one has some story about its life.

Here’s an easy “spot the gem”. As well as the rather obvious gem, there’s a variation that’s hard to find and not listed in Nick’s guide.
