Re: Gerry Anderson vehicles
One of the best articles I know on this model here...https://dinkytvspace.com/107-stripey-the-magic-mini/
I am not saying that because I contributed to the website, it is genuinely very informative and very pleasant to look at!

Dinky's model of Stripey, as I understand, is not easy to find. It's on my acquire-someday list.

It is a Mini - Mini collectors chase it.
It is by the original Dinky Toys company - Dinky collectors chase it.
It is a TV Tie-In model - TV and Film toy collectors chase it.
and for now...
It represents something Gerry Anderson made - Anderson collectors chase it.
So, there it is. One or more of those factors will ensure mint and boxed examples will always commend a high price.
Re: Gerry Anderson vehicles
Stripey is what's known as a "cross-collectible." Lots of Volkswagen models fall into that category, too...and command crazy selling prices.

Re: Gerry Anderson vehicles
Nice MSV and candy mini - I thought it was from ‘The Prisoner’ for a second.
All my collection is absolutely mint, sage and onion condition
Re: Gerry Anderson vehicles
The thing with Stripey the Magic Mini is, it's another one of those Gerry Anderson vehicles that never saw the light of TV.
It was real enough, the Mini was real and the puppets and actors were real too, but it only got as far as a photo strip story in the Candy comic.
If you must have a Stripey, the decals are available to do your own.
I almost did a 1:12 scale radio controlled version but chickened out and did an Italian Job Mini instead.
Hmm, maybe a Sun Star version would be a nice idea.

Re: Gerry Anderson vehicles
Here's a couple of Gerry Anderson vehicles I had a go at around 40 years ago.
They need doing again because I didn't make too good a job in the first place and bits have since broken off.
Also, more information on colour and details are available now that wasn't available at the time.
Both these vehicles are Gerry Anderson vehicles from the pilot of an unscreened show titled "The Investigator".
Dinky tooled up expecting the show to go to series but it never happened so they released the models as an Armoured Command Vehicle and a Coastguard Launch instead.
The Gerry Anderson name appears underneath nonetheless.
The show was shot on location in Malta using dolls and live action. The vehicles were radio controlled.
The show is available on "The Lost Worlds of Gerry Anderson" DVD released through Network.

No, both repainted Dinky's.
