Re: Fernel Developments LTD
Thanks for sharing illustrations of the various export versions produced.
I visit Hailsham weekly, as part of my job, and when I have time I do speak to locals who have lived there during the 60's. So far, no one has any recollection of Fernel Developments, or know anyone who might have worked there.
I suspect that the factory was close by to the Railway station ( long since gone ), which had a very busy goods trade at the time.I would guess that a lot of their production was sent by rail .
Hailsham has a good selection of Charity shops and a collectors' centre, although none of my small collection has come from there, but I live in hope !

Another one sold trough Vectis (19 jan 2019)
Thomas Salter Toys Sports (Lone Star) - "Rallye Monte Carlo" Game Set comprising of 2 x Lone Star Ford Corsair.
It is interesting that this Swedish edition of the Monte Carlo game has Lone Stars Ford Corsair cars while the more usual Monte Carlo game contains 2 Corgi Mini cars.

Re: Fernel Developments LTD
Yesterday I received a copy of the September 2003 issue of Mini World magazine...and, much to my surprise and delight, it contains a blurb on the Mini Rallye game! I lack a scanner at present time, but I'd be happy to take a photo of the write-up if anyone is interested.

Always interested but please be aware of any copyright on the article so maybe just take the picture(s) in such a way that gives us an 'Overview' of the article and give credit to the author.

It is a UK magazine. Here's a picture of the cover.
And the write-up, which is pretty brief. Of interest primarily because the two Minis remain with the game. By Mini World staff, C. 2003 Country and Leisure Media Ltd./IPC Media Ltd.

Re: Fernel Developments LTD
Just seen a London to Brighton set for sale on Ebay, being sold by redcarspares, and listed under MOY @ £180.
UK version, with Hornchurch address. Looks to be in good condition.
Instructions in box lid still show Hailsham.
Tempting ?
