I saw in the Steve´s post the model "Planet Scout" and I remember a argentine copy of the brand "Gorgo" but in a bigger scale.

These are more amazing than real Matchboxes.

I find these in a facebook group dedicated to argentine old toys. Of this brand, Gorgo, there is also a copy of corgi. The "Explorador Lunar" (moon explorer) of Gorgo is a big scale copy of the Spectrum Patrol of Corgi.

Phantastic.
Only things I know from Argentina are Buby Toys, which are very hard to come by.

I had Buby in my childhood. They were well known for be the models of car that an argentine child saw in the street in those years. But they were not very strong and now I have not any one. The Matchbox have the axes and the wheel more resistent and I have two survivors. NOw here in Argentina a Buby is the more expensive brand to buy.

In Argentina there is a well-known brand of shaving blades called "Gillette". One day at the last of ´70s Gillette decided to make Die Cast cars. Here is a proof that they did it quite good. The model belongs to Mariano García ´s collection.

Yes that's a very good copy. Looks like a Brazilian Matchbox. Did they do any other copies?
